1 As for you, son of man, take a sharp sword and use it like a barber's razor, passing it over your head and beard. Then take a set of scales and divide the hair you have cut.	1 A ti, sine čovječji, uzmi mač naoštren, uzmi ga kao britvu brijačku i obrij glavu i bradu. Zatim uzmi mjerice i porazdijeli.
2 Burn a third in the fire, within the city, when the days of your siege are completed; place another third around the city and strike it with the sword; the final third strew in the wind, and pursue it with the sword.	2 Trećinu spali posred grada ognjem kad se navrše dani tvoje opsade; trećinu uzmi i sasijeci mačem oko grada; trećinu baci u vjetar – i svoj ću mač trgnuti na njih.
3 (But of the last take a small number and tie them in the hem of your garment.	3 Uzmi malo i zaveži u skute haljine.
4 Then take some of these and throw them in the midst of the fire and burn them.) Say to the whole house of Israel:	4 Od toga opet nešto uzmi, baci u vatru i spali: odatle će se razgorjeti vatra svemu domu Izraelovu!«
5 Thus says the Lord GOD: This is Jerusalem! In the midst of the nations I placed her, surrounded by foreign countries.	5 Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: »Ovo je Jeruzalem! Postavih ga u središte narodâ, okružih ga zemljama!
6 But she rebelled against my ordinances more wickedly than the nations, and against my statutes more than the foreign countries surrounding her; she has spurned my ordinances and has not lived by my statutes.	6 Ali se on odupro mojim naredbama većma nego pogani, zakonima mojim većma nego zemlje koje ga okružuju.«
7 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have been more rebellious than the nations surrounding you, not living by my statutes nor fulfilling my ordinances, but acting according to the ordinances of the surrounding nations;	7 Stoga ovako govori Jahve Gospod: »Buntovniji ste od naroda koji vas okružuju, ne hodite po mojim zakonima i ne vršite ni mojih naredaba ni naredaba okolnih naroda.«
8 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See, I am coming at you! I will inflict punishments in your midst while the nations look on.	8 Zato ovako govori Jahve Gospod: »Evo i mene protiv tebe! Izvršit ću sud svoj nad tobom na oči svih naroda.
9 Because of all your abominations I will do with you what I have never done before, the like of which I will never do again.	9 Zbog tvojih gadosti učinit ću s tobom što još ne učinih nikada nit ću ikad učiniti:
10 This means that fathers within you shall eat sons, and sons shall eat fathers. I will inflict punishments upon you and scatter all that remain of your people in every direction.	10 posred tebe očevi će jesti sinove, a sinovi očeve; izvršit ću sud svoj nad tobom i sav ostatak tvoj predati svim vjetrovima!
11 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable abominations, I swear to cut you down. I will not look upon you with pity nor have mercy.	11 Života mi moga!« – riječ je Jahve Gospoda – »svakojakim grozotama i gadostima ti uistinu oskvrnu moje svetište. I ja ću sada brijati i oko se moje neće sažaliti i neću se smilovati:
12 A third of your people shall die of pestilence and perish of hunger within you; another third shall fall by the sword all around you; and a third I will scatter in every direction, and I will pursue them with the sword.	12 trećina će tvojih žitelja posred tebe od kuge skončati i od gladi umrijeti; trećina će oko tebe od mača pasti; trećinu ću predati vjetrovima – i mač ću svoj trgnuti na njih!
13 Thus shall my anger spend itself, and I will wreak my fury upon them till I am appeased; they shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my jealousy when I spend my fury upon them.	13 Tako ću iskaliti gnjev svoj i smirit će se jarost moja kad im se osvetim. I kad iskalim jarost svoju nad njima, spoznat će da sam to ja, Jahve, u ljubomori svojoj bio rekao.
14 I will make you a waste and a reproach among the nations that surround you, which every passer-by may see.	14 Opustošit ću te, izvrgnut ću te ruglu naroda koji te okružuju, na oči svim prolaznicima.
15 When I execute judgment upon you in anger and fury and with furious chastisements, you shall be a reproach and an object of scorn, a terrible warning to the nations that surround you. I, the LORD, have spoken!	15 Da, bit ćeš na ruglo i sramotu, opomena i užas okolnim narodima kad izvršim protiv tebe sve svoje sudove kažnjavajući gnjevno, jarosno. Ja, Jahve, rekoh!
16 When I loose against you the cruel, destructive arrows of hunger, I will break your staff of bread;	16 I kad na vas pustim ljute strijele gladi što zatiru, koje ću pustiti na vas da vas uništim i glađu zatrem – uništit ću vam i posljednju pričuvu kruha.
17 I will send famine against you, and wild beasts that shall rob you of your children. Pestilence and bloodshed shall stalk through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I, the LORD, have spoken!	17 A povrh gladi pustit ću na vas i divlje zvijeri koje će ti djecu rastrgati; kuga će te i krv preplaviti: pod mač ću te svoj okrenuti. Ja, Jahve, rekoh!«
