Ezekiel 35

1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:
2 Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it.	2 Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht auf die Berge von Seïr, tritt als Prophet gegen sie auf
3 Say to it: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Mount Seir. I will stretch out my hand against you and make you a desolate waste.	3 und sag zu ihnen: So spricht Gott, der Herr: Ich gehe gegen dich vor, Bergland von Seïr. Ich strecke meine Hand gegen dich aus und mache dich zur Wüste und Öde.
4 Your cities I will turn into ruins, and you shall be a waste; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	4 Deine Städte lege ich in Trümmer und du sollst zur Wüste werden. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.
5 Because you never let die your hatred for the Israelites, whom you delivered over to the power of the sword at the time of their trouble, when their crimes came to an end,	5 Weil du eine ewige Feindschaft mit den Söhnen Israels hattest und sie zur Zeit ihres Unglücks, zur Zeit der endgültigen Abrechnung, dem Schwert ausgeliefert hast,
6 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, you have been guilty of blood, and blood, I swear, shall pursue you.	6 darum lasse ich dich bluten, so wahr ich lebe - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn; Blut soll dich verfolgen. Du hast dich nicht gescheut, Blut zu vergießen; darum soll Blut dich verfolgen.
7 I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste, and cut off from it any traveler.	7 Ich mache die Berge von Seïr zur Öde und Wüste und vernichte alles, was sich dort bewegt und regt.
8 With the slain I will fill your hills, your valleys, and all your ravines (in them the slain shall fall by the sword):	8 Ich fülle sein Bergland mit Erschlagenen; auf deinen Hügeln, in deinen Tälern und all deinen Schluchten werden die Menschen vom Schwert erschlagen und fallen.
9 desolate will I make you forever, and leave your cities without inhabitants; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	9 Für immer mache ich dich zum Ödland, deine Städte sollen nicht mehr bewohnt sein. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.
10 Because you said: The two nations and the two lands have become mine; we shall possess them--although the LORD was there--	10 Weil du sagst: Beide Völker und beide Länder gehören mir; sie sind mein Besitz!, (weil du das sagst) obwohl doch der Herr dort ist,
11 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will deal with you according to your anger and your envy which you have exercised (in your hatred) against them. I will make myself known among you when I judge you,	11 darum will ich gegen dich - so wahr ich lebe, Spruch Gottes, des Herrn - mit dem gleichen leidenschaftlichen Zorn vorgehen, mit dem du gegen sie in deinem Hass vorgegangen bist. Ich werde dir zeigen, wer ich bin, wenn ich dich richte.
12 and you shall know that I am the LORD. I have heard all the contemptuous things you have uttered against the mountains of Israel: "They are desolate, they have been given us to devour."	12 Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin und dass ich gehört habe, wie oft du die Berge Israels geschmäht und gesagt hast: Sie sind völlig verödet. Sie sind uns zum Fraß vorgeworfen.
13 I have heard the insolent and wild words you have spoken against me.	13 So habt ihr geprahlt und seid frech gegen mich gewesen; ich habe es selbst gehört.
14 Thus says the Lord GOD: Just as you rejoiced over my land because it was desolate, so will I do to you.	14 So spricht Gott, der Herr: Weil du dich darüber freust, dass das ganze Land verödet daliegt, darum will ich auch dich (zur Wüste) machen:
15 In keeping with your glee over the devastation of the inheritance of the house of Israel, so will I treat you. A waste shall you be, Mount Seir, you and the whole of Edom. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	15 Weil du dich darüber freust, dass der Erbbesitz des Hauses Israel verödet daliegt, darum will ich auch dich (zur Wüste) machen; das Bergland von Seïr und ganz Edom sollen veröden. Dann wird man erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.
