1 For the leader; with wind instruments. A psalm of David.	1 Nella fine; per quella la qual consèguita la eredità
2 Hear my words, O LORD; listen to my sighing.	2 Signore, ricevi le mie parole con le tue orecchie; intendi lo mio grido.
3 Hear my cry for help, my king, my God! To you I pray, O LORD;	3 Intendi la voce della mia orazione, o re mio. e Iddio mio.
4 at dawn you will hear my cry; at dawn I will plead before you and wait.	4 Perciò ch' io adorerò a te; Signore, la mattina (per tempo) tu esaudirai la voce mia.
5 You are not a god who delights in evil; no wicked person finds refuge with you;	5 La mattina starò dinanzi a te, e vederotti; perciò che tu sei Signore che non vogli iniquitade.
6 the arrogant cannot stand before you. You hate all who do evil;	6 E non abiterà appo te persona maligna; e non permarranno li ingiusti dinanzi agli occhii tuoi.
7 you destroy all who speak falsely. Murderers and deceivers the LORD abhors.	7 Tu hai avuto in odio tutti coloro i quali sono operatori di iniquitade; e distruggerai tutti quelli i quali dicono menzogna. L'uomo di sangue e bugiardo, Iddio l' avrà in abominazione.
8 But I can enter your house because of your great love. I can worship in your holy temple because of my reverence for you, LORD.	8 E io mi starò nella moltitudine della tua misericordia. Io entrerò nella casa tua; adorerò al tempio santo tuo nel tuo timore.
9 Guide me in your justice because of my foes; make straight your way before me.	9 Signore, menami nella tua giustizia; per cagione delli miei nemici dirizza la mia via dinanzi a te.
10 For there is no sincerity in their mouths; their hearts are corrupt. Their throats are open graves; on their tongues are subtle lies.	10 Perciò che nella loro bocca non è verità; lo cuore loro sì è vano.
11 Declare them guilty, God; make them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many sins; they have rebelled against you.	11 La loro gola è come sepolcro aperto; parlavano sempre con le loro lingue con duplicità; tu, Iddio Signore, giùdicali. Cadano (e rimangano defraudati) dalli loro pensieri; secondo la moltitudine delle loro empietadi cacciali da te; perciò, Signore, che t' hanno provocato ad ira.
12 Then all who take refuge in you will be glad and forever shout for joy. Protect them that you may be the joy of those who love your name.	12 E allegrinsi tutti quelli che sperano in te; in eterno s' allegreranno, e tu abiterai in loro. E glorierannosi in te tutti quelli che amano il tuo nome.
13 For you, LORD, bless the just; you surround them with favor like a shield.	13 Però che tu benedicerai il giusto. Signore, tu ci hai coronati della tua buona volontà, come di uno (securo) scuto.
