Levitico 22

1 Parlò di nuovo il Signore a Mosè, e disse:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 Di' ad Aronne, e a' suoi figliuoli, che si astengano dalle cose, le quali sono consacrate a me da' figliuoli d'Israele; e non profanino le cose santificate in onor mio, le quali eglino offeriscono. Io il Signore.	2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons. They must be consecrated by the holy offerings of the Israelites andmust not profane my holy name; for my sake they must sanctify it; I am Yahweh.
3 Fa' sapere ad essi, e a' loro posteri, che qualunque uomo della loro stirpe, il quale essendo immondo si accosterà alle cose consacrate, e offerte dai figliuoli d'Israele al Signore, perirà dinanzi al Signore. Io sono il Signore.	3 Say to them: "Any one of your descendants, for al time, who in a state of uncleanness approaches theholy offerings consecrated to Yahweh by the Israelites, wil be outlawed from my presence. I am Yahweh.
4 Un uomo della stirpe d'Aronne, che sia lebbroso, o malato di gonorrea, non mangerà delle cose consacrate a me, fino a tanto ch'ei sia guarito. Chi toccherà un uomo, che è immondo per ragione d'un morto, o uno, che è soggetto a gonorrea,	4 "Anyone of Aaron's line who is afflicted with a contagious skin-disease or a discharge will not eat holythings until he is clean. Anyone who touches anything made unclean by a dead body, or who has a seminaldischarge,
5 E chi toccherà un rettile, e qualunque cosa immonda, il toccamento della quale porta impurità,	5 or who is made unclean by touching any kind of reptile or any one who has contaminated him with hisown uncleanness, be it what it may,
6 Sarà immondo fino alla sera, e non mangerà delle cose santificate; ma lavata che avrà la sua carne nell'acqua,	6 in short, anyone who has had any such contact wil be unclean until evening, and must not eat holythings until he has washed his body.
7 E tramontato il sole, allora essendo mondo mangerà delle cose santificate; perché elle sono suo cibo.	7 At sunset he wil be clean and may then eat holy things, for these are his food.
8 Non mangeranno d’una bestia morta da sé, ovvero uccisa da un’altra bestia, e non si contamineranno con tali cose. Io sono il Signore.	8 "He must not eat an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged; he would contractuncleanness from it. I am Yahweh.
9 Osservino i miei comandamenti, affinché non cadano in peccato, e non muoiano nel santuario dopo d’averlo profanato. Io il Signore, che li santifico.	9 "They must keep my rules and not burden themselves with sin. If they profane them, they will incurdeath; I, Yahweh, have sanctified them.
10 Nissun d'altra stirpe mangerà delle cose santificate; colui, che coabita col sacerdote, e il servo mercenario non ne mangeranno.	10 "No lay person may eat anything holy; no guest or employee of a priest may eat anything holy.
11 Ma il servo comprato dal sacerdote, e il servo nato in sua casa, questi ne mangeranno.	11 But if the priest has acquired a slave by purchase, the slave may eat it like anyone born in hishousehold; they will share his food.
12 Se la figlia del sacerdote sposa un uomo qualunque del popolo, non mangerà delle cose santificate, e delle primizie:	12 "If a priest's daughter marries a layman, she will have no share in the holy things set aside,
13 Ma se divenuta vedova, ovvero ripudiata, e senza figliuoli, ella fa ritorno alla casa di suo padre, mangerà di quel che mangia suo padre, com'ella usava di far da fanciulla. Nissuno d'altra nazione ha potestà di mangiarne.	13 but if she is widowed or divorced and, being childless, has had to return to her father's house aswhen she was young, she may share her father's food. No lay person may share it;
14 Chi per ignoranza avrà mangiato delle cose santificate, aggiungerà un quinto a quel che ha consumato, e darallo al sacerdote per uso del santuario.	14 anyone who does eat a holy thing by inadvertence, wil restore it to the priest with one-fifth added.
15 Guardinsi dal profanare le cose santificate, offerte dai figliuoli d'Israele al Signore:	15 "They may not profane the holy offerings which the Israelites have set aside for Yahweh.
16 Affinché non abbiano a portar la pena del loro delitto, quando abbian mangiato delle cose santificate. Io il Signore, che li santifico.	16 By eating these, they would burden them with guilt requiring a sacrifice of reparation; for I, Yahweh, have sanctified these offerings." '
17 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
18 Parla ad Aronne, e ai suoi figliuoli, e a tutt’i figliuoli d'Israele, e di' loro: Qualunque uomo della casa d'Israele, o forestiero abitante tra voi, il quale faccia sua obblazione o per isciogliere un voto, o per libera elezione, qualunque sia la vittima, che egli presenta per farne olocausto al Signore per le mani vostre,	18 'Speak to Aaron, to his sons, and to al the Israelites and say: "Any member of the House of Israel orany alien resident in Israel who brings an offering either in payment of a vow or as a voluntary gift, and offers itas a burnt offering to Yahweh,
19 Ella sarà un maschio senza macchia, o bue, o agnello, o capro:	19 must, if he is to be acceptable, offer an unblemished male, be it bul or sheep or goat.
20 Se avrà difetto, non l'offerirete, né sarà accettevole.	20 You wil not offer anything with a blemish, for it would not make you acceptable.
21 Chi offerisce al Signore un'ostia pacifica, o per isciogliere un voto, o di libera elezione, sia ella di buoi, o di pecore, la offerirà immacolata, affinché ella sia accettevole: nissun difetto sarà in essa.	21 "If anyone offers Yahweh a communion sacrifice, either to fulfil a vow or as a voluntary offering, theanimal, be it from the herd or flock, must be perfect, if he is to be acceptable; it must be unblemished.
22 Se sarà cieca, se stroppiata, se con qualche cicatrice, se ha scrofole, o rogna, o scabbia, non l’offerirete al Signore, e non ne farete andare sull’altare del Signore.	22 You wil not offer Yahweh any animal which is blind, lame, mutilated, ulcerous, scabby or covered insores. No part of such an animal wil be offered on the altar as food burnt for Yahweh.
23 Il bue, o la pecora, a cui sia stato tagliato un orecchio, o la coda, tu puoi offerirla volontariamente; ma non puoi con essa sciogliere un voto.	23 As a voluntary offering, you may offer a bul or a lamb that is underdeveloped or deformed; but suchwil not be acceptable in payment of a vow.
24 Non offerirete al Signore nissuno animale, a cui sieno stati ammaccati, o pestati, o tagliati, o strappati i testicoli, e non farete assolutamente tal cosa nel vostro paese.	24 You wil not offer Yahweh an animal if its testicles have been bruised, crushed, torn or cut off. Youmay not do that in your country,
25 Non offerirete al vostro Dio de' pani presentati a voi da uomo straniero, né qualunque altra cosa, che questi voglia dare, perocché tutte le cose loro sono contaminate: non le accettate.	25 and you may not accept any such from the hands of a stranger, to be offered as food for your God.Their deformity is a blemish, and they would not make you acceptable." '
26 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	26 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
27 Il vitello, la pecora, e la capra, nate che sieno, per sette giorni staranno alla mammella della madre: e l’ottavo giorno, e in appresso potranno offerirsi al Signore.	27 'A calf, lamb, or kid will stay with its dam for seven days after being born. From the eighth dayonwards, it wil be acceptable as food burnt for Yahweh.
28 Sia vacca, sia pecora, non sarà immolata lo stesso dì coi suoi parti.	28 But no animal, whether cow or ewe, wil be slaughtered on the same day as its young.
29 Se immolate al Signore un'ostia in rendimento di grazie affinché egli vi sia propizio,	29 'If you offer Yahweh a sacrifice with praise, do it in the acceptable manner;
30 Voi la mangerete lo stesso dì: non ne resterà nulla pella mattina del dì seguente. Io il Signore.	30 it must be eaten the same day; you wil leave nothing over til next morning. I am Yahweh.
31 Osservate i miei comandamenti, e mettetegli in pratica. Io il Signore.	31 'You wil keep my commands and put them into practice. I am Yahweh.
32 Non profanate il nome mio santo, affinché io sia glorificato dalla società de' figliuoli d'Israele. Io il Signore, che vi santifico,	32 You wil not profane my holy name -- so that I may be honoured as holy among the Israelites, I,Yahweh, who make you holy,
33 E vi ho tratti dalla terra d'Egitto per essere vostro Dio. Io il Signore.	33 I who brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh.'
