Isaiah 50

1 Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.	1 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: quale è questo libro di rifiuto della vostra madre, dove io lasciai lei? e quale è lo mio creditore, a cui io vendei voi? (però che ecco io vi mostrerò che) voi siete venduti nelle vostre malvagitadi, e per le vostre follie io abbandonai (e lasciai) la vostra madre.
2 Wherfore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.	2 Però ch' io venni, e non ci era uomo; (lo) chiamai, e non fu chi mi udisse. Or è abbreviata e fatta piccola la mia mano, sì ch' io non possa ricomperare? o non è in me virtude, ch' io possa liberare? Ecco, io farò deserto il mare colla mia riprensione, e farò li fiumi secchi; e li pesci infracideranno, però che saranno sanza acqua, e morranno per la sete.
3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.	3 Vestirò li cieli di tenebre, e per loro coprimento porrò uno sacco.
4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.	4 Lo Signore diede a me la lingua dirizzata, per che io sappia sostenere colui il quale è discorso con la parola, (cioè a mal fare); è levato suso la mattina, e dirizza la mattina a me l'orecchie, acciò ch' io l'oda come maestro (cioè lievato la mattina, s' intende per lo primo tempo, chè dobbiamo apparare nella giovinezza).
5 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.	5 Lo Signore Iddio aperse a me le orecchie, e io non li contradico; e non andai a ritroso.
6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.	6 E diedi lo mio corpo a quelli che mi percotevano, e a quelli che con le mani percotevano le mie gote (cioè che mi davano le grandi guanciate); e non rivolsi (me, nè fuggì) la mia faccia dalle riprensioni, e da quelli che mi sputavano nel volto.
7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.	7 Ma lo Signore è mio aiutatore, e però io non potrei ricevere confusione; e però io puosi la mia faccia come pietra durissima, e so ch' io non sarò confuso.
8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.	8 Egli è appo me quello che mi fa giusto; e chi sarà che mi contradica? Stiamo insieme; e chi sarà lo mio avversario? vèngasene a me.
9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.	9 Ecco che Iddio è il mio aiutatore; adunque chi è colui il quale dispregerà me? (Certo) ecco che così si romperanno quasi come fusse uno vestimento, e la tignuola li si mangerà.
10 Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.	10 Quale è di voi che tema Iddio, e che oda la voce del suo servo? chi è colui il quale andò nelle tenebre, e non vidde lume? abbia speranza nel nome di Dio, e sforzisi a Dio.
11 Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.	11 Ecco, tutti voi che accendete (voi medesimi) lo fuoco, e siete cinti di fiamme, andate nel lume del vostro fuoco, e nelle fiamme le quali voi accendeste; della mano mia fatto è a voi questo; dormirete ne' (vostri) dolori.
