1 Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.	1 Ricorda loro di star soggetti ai principi e. all'autorità, di obbedire e di esser pronti ad ogni opera buona;
2 To speak evil of no man, not to be litigious, but gentle: shewing all mildness towards all men.	2 di non dir male di nessuno, di evitar le liti, di esser modesti, con tutta la mitezza possibile verso tutti.
3 For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.	3 Perché una volta anche noi eravamo insensati, increduli, erranti, schiavi delle passioni e d’ogni sorta di piaceri, operando per malizia è per invidia, degni d'odio è in odio gli uni agli altri.
4 But when the goodness and kindness of God our Savior appeared:	4 Ma quando apparve la benignità è l’amore per l’uomo del Salvatore Dio nostro,
5 Not by the works of justice, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renovation of the Holy Ghost;	5 non per le opere di giustizia fatte da noi, ma per la sua misericordia, ci ha salvati mediante il lavacro di rigenerazione e il rinnovamento dello Spirito Santo,
6 Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Savior:	6 che agli copiosamente ha effuso su noi per Gesù Cristo Salvatore nostro,
7 That, being justified by his grace, we may be heirs, according to hope of life everlasting.	7 affinchè giustificati per la, grazia di lui, diventassimo, in speranza, eredi della vita eterna.
8 It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.	8 Questa è parola fedele: ed io voglio che tu affermi queste cose, affinchè quelli che han creduto in Dio procurino di attendere alle opere buone. Ecco quello che è buono e utile per gli uomini.
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.	9 Ma le stupide questioni e le genealogie e le dispute e le battaglie sulla legge sfuggile, essendo, inutili e vane.
10 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:	10 L’uomo eretico, dopo la prima e la seconda correzione, fuggilo:
11 Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.	11 sapendo che un siffatto è un pervertito, un peccatore che si condanna da sè.
12 When I shall send to thee Artemas or Tychicus, make haste to come unto me to Nicopolis. For there I have determined to winter.	12 Quando t’avrò mandato Artema e Tichico, affrettati a venir da me a Nicopoli, perchè ho determinato di passarvi l’inverno.
13 Send forward Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollo, with care, that nothing be wanting to them.	13 Cerca di mandare avanti sollecitamente Zena, dottore in legge, e Apollo, affinchè non manchi loro nulla.
14 And let our men also learn to excel in good works for necessary uses: that they be not unfruitful.	14 E imparino anche i nostri ad iniziare le opere buone nei bisogni urgenti, affinché siano utili a qualcosa.
15 All that are with me salute thee: salute them that love us in the faith. The grace of God be with you all. Amen.	15 Ti salutano tutti quelli che sono con me. Saluta tutti quelli che ci amano nella fede. La grazia di Dio con voi tutti. Così sia.
