1 Now we that are stronger, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.	1 - E dobbiamo noi, forti, sopportare le debolezze dei deboli, e non voler compiacere solo a noi stessi.
2 Let every one of you please his neighbour unto good, to edification.	2 Ognuno di noi procuri di piacere al prossimo, nel bene, a edificazione,
3 For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written: The reproaches of them that reproached thee, fell upon me.	3 anche Cristo non cercò piacere a se stesso, ma come sta scritto: "Gli oltraggi di quelli che oltraggiano te son caduti su di me".
4 For what things soever were written, were written for our learning: that through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.	4 Poichè tutto quel che già fu scritto, fu scritto per nostro ammaestramento, affinchè, mediante la perseveranza e la consolazione delle Scritture noi conservassimo la speranza.
5 Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of one mind one towards another, according to Jesus Christ:	5 Or il Dio della perseveranza e della consolazione vi conceda di aver fra voi lo stesso sentire secondo Cristo Gesù,
6 That with one mind, and with one mouth, you may glorify God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.	6 affinchè con un animo solo e una sola bocca glorifichiate Dio il padre del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
7 Wherefore receive one another, as Christ also hath received you unto the honour of God.	7 Perciò, accoglietevi gli uni gli altri, così come Cristo ha accolto noi, a gloria di Dio.
8 For I say that Christ Jesus was minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.	8 Dico che Cristo è stato fatto ministro dei circoncisi per la veracità di Dio, al fine che fossero confermate le promesse dei padri;
9 But that the Gentiles are to glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: Therefore will I confess to thee, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and will sing to thy name.	9 e i Gentili glorificano Dio per la sua misericordia conforme sta scritto: "Per questo ti confesserò fra le Genti e salmeggerò al tuo nome".
10 And again he saith: Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.	10 E di nuovo dice: "Rallegratevi, o Genti, col suo popolo!".
11 And again: Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all ye people.	11 E ancora: "Lodate, o tutte le Genti, il Signore e tutti i popoli lo esaltino".
12 And again Isaias saith: There shall be a root of Jesse; and he that shall rise up to rule the Gentiles, in him the Gentiles shall hope.	12 E di nuovo Isaia dice: "Vi sarà la radice di Jesse e colui che sorgerà a comandare alle Genti; in lui le Genti riporranno la loro speranza".
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing; that you may abound in hope, and in the power of the Holy Ghost.	13 Ora il Dio della speranza vi riempia d'ogni gaudio e di pace nella fede, sì che voi abbondiate nella speranza, in virtù dello Spirito Santo.
14 And I myself also, my brethren, am assured of you, that you also are full of love, replenished with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.	14 Io per me sono persuaso, o fratelli miei, a riguardo vostro che anche voi siete pieni di amore, ricolmi d'ogni sapere, in grado anche di ammonirvi gli uni gli altri.
15 But I have written to you, brethren, more boldly in some sort, as it were putting you in mind: because of the grace which is given me from God.	15 Ma v'ho scritto un po' arditamente, come per richiamar la vostra memoria, per via della grazia concessa a me dal Signore,
16 That I should be the minister of Christ Jesus among the Gentiles; sanctifying the gospel of God, that the oblation of the Gentiles may be made acceptable and sanctified in the Holy Ghost.	16 di essere il ministro di Cristo tra le Genti, esercitando il sacerdozio del Vangelo di Dio, affinchè sia da lui bene accolta l'offerta delle Genti, santificata nello Spirito Santo.
17 I have therefore glory in Christ Jesus towards God.	17 Io ho adunque di che gloriarmi in Cristo Gesù per le cose di Dio,
18 For I dare not to speak of any of those things which Christ worketh not by me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,	18 perchè non ardirò dire che vi sia cosa che non l'abbia fatta Cristo per mezzo mio, onde trarre all'obbedienza le Genti, sia nelle parole sia nei fatti,
19 By the virtue of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Ghost, so that from Jerusalem round about as far as unto Illyricum, I have replenished the gospel of Christ.	19 sia nella potenza dei miracoli e dei prodigi, nella virtù dello Spirito Santo; di guisa che da Gerusalemme e dai paesi all'intorno fino all'Illirico ho adempiuto la mia missione rispetto al Vangelo di Cristo.
20 And I have so preached this gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation.	20 E mi sono studiato di evangelizzare non là dov'era già stato nominato Cristo, per non edificare su base d'altri, secondo sta scritto:
21 But as it is written: They to whom he was not spoken of, shall see, and they that have not heard shall understand.	21 "Vedranno quelli a cui non è giunta notizia di lui, e quelli che non l'hanno udito l'intenderanno".
22 For which cause also I was hindered very much from coming to you, and have been kept away till now.	22 Perciò anche sono stato parecchie volte impedito di venir da voi;
23 But now having no more place in these countries, and having a great desire these many years past to come unto you,	23 ora poi non avendo più nulla da fare in queste terre, e avendo da parecchi anni vivo desiderio di venir da voi,
24 When I shall begin to take my journey into Spain, I hope that as I pass, I shall see you, and be brought on my way thither by you, if first, in part, I shall have enjoyed you:	24 quando viaggerò verso la Spagna, spero, passando, di vedervi e di esser da voi aiutato nel viaggio verso là, quando prima mi sarò in parte ripieno di voi.
25 But now I shall go to Jerusalem, to minister unto the saints.	25 Ora vado a Gerusalemme per portar soccorso a quei santi.
26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a contribution for the poor of the saints that are in Jerusalem.	26 Perchè la Macedonia e l'Acaia hanno creduto bene fare una colletta a pro dei poveri fra i santi che stanno a Gerusalemme.
27 For it hath pleased them; and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they ought also in carnal things to minister to them.	27 Hanno creduto come ho detto, ma ne sono anche debitori, perchè se le Genti sono state fatte partecipi nelle cose spirituali, devono anche nelle cose materiali aiutarli.
28 When therefore I shall have accomplished this, and consigned to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.	28 Fatto questo dunque, e assicurato loro questo frutto, partirò per la Spagna passando da voi.
29 And I know, that when I come to you, I shall come in the abundance of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.	29 E so che venendo da voi ci verrò nella pienezza della benedizione di Cristo.
30 I beseech you therefore, brethren, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Holy Ghost, that you help me in your prayers for me to God,	30 Vi esorto, o fratelli, per il Signore nostro Gesù Cristo e per l'amore dello Spirito, di adoperarvi con me nelle preghiere che fate per me a Dio,
31 That I may be delivered from the unbelievers that are in Judea, and that the oblation of my service may be acceptable in Jerusalem to the saints.	31 affinchè io sia liberato dagli infedeli che sono in Giudea, e l'offerta del mio ministero sia bene accettata ai santi a Gerusalemme,
32 That I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed with you.	32 affinchè con gioia venendo da voi per la volontà di Dio, possa godere con voi un po' di riposo.
33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.	33 Il Dio della pace sia con tutti voi, così sia!
