1 Salmo. Di Davide, quando era nel deserto di Giuda.	1 [Psalm Of David When he was in the desert of Judah] God, you are my God, I pine for you; my heartthirsts for you, my body longs for you, as a land parched, dreary and waterless.
2 O Dio, tu sei il mio Dio,dall’aurora io ti cerco,ha sete di te l'anima mia,desidera te la mia carnein terra arida, assetata, senz’acqua.	2 Thus I have gazed on you in the sanctuary, seeing your power and your glory.
3 Così nel santuario ti ho contemplato,guardando la tua potenza e la tua gloria.	3 Better your faithful love than life itself; my lips wil praise you.
4 Poiché il tuo amore vale più della vita,le mie labbra canteranno la tua lode.	4 Thus I will bless you al my life, in your name lift up my hands.
5 Così ti benedirò per tutta la vita:nel tuo nome alzerò le mie mani.	5 Al my longings fulfil ed as with fat and rich foods, a song of joy on my lips and praise in my mouth.
6 Come saziato dai cibi migliori,con labbra gioiose ti loderà la mia bocca.	6 On my bed when I think of you, I muse on you in the watches of the night,
7 Quando nel mio letto di te mi ricordoe penso a te nelle veglie notturne,	7 for you have always been my help; in the shadow of your wings I rejoice;
8 a te che sei stato il mio aiuto,esulto di gioia all’ombra delle tue ali.	8 my heart clings to you, your right hand supports me.
9 A te si stringe l’anima mia:la tua destra mi sostiene.	9 May those who are hounding me to death go down to the depths of the earth,
10 Ma quelli che cercano di rovinarmisprofondino sotto terra,	10 given over to the blade of the sword, and left as food for jackals.
11 siano consegnati in mano alla spada,divengano preda di sciacalli.	11 Then the king shall rejoice in God, al who swear by him shal gain recognition, for the mouths of liarsshall be silenced.
12 Il re troverà in Dio la sua gioia;si glorierà chi giura per lui,perché ai mentitori verrà chiusa la bocca.
