1 Muchas veces y de muchos modos habló Dios en el pasado a nuestros Padres por medio de los Profetas;	1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 en estos últimos tiempos nos ha hablado por medio del Hijo a quien instituyó heredero de todo, por quien también hizo los mundos;	2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 el cual, siendo resplandor de su gloria e impronta de su sustancia, y el que sostiene todo con su palabra poderosa, después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,	3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 con una superioridad sobre los ángeles tanto mayor cuanto más les supera en el nombre que ha heredado.	4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 En efecto, ¿a qué ángel dijo alguna vez: Hijo mío eres tú; yo te he engendrado hoy; y también: Yo seré para él Padre, y él será para mi Hijo?	5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 Y nuevamente al introducir a su Primogénito en el mundo dice: Y adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.	6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 Y de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus ángeles vientos, y a sus servidores llamas de fuego.	7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 Pero del Hijo: Tu trono, ¡oh Dios!, por los siglos de los siglos; y: El cetro de tu realeza, cetro de equidad.	8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la iniquidad; por eso te ungió, ¡oh Dios!, tu Dios con óleo de alegría con preferencia a tus compañeros.	9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 Y también: Tú al comienzo, ¡oh Señor!, pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y obras de tu mano son los cielos.	10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 Ellos perecerán, mas tú permaneces; todos como un vestido envejecerán;	11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 como un manto los enrollarás, como un vestido, y serán cambiados. Pero tú eres el mismo y tus años no tendrán fin.	12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 Y ¿a qué ángel dijo alguna vez: Siéntate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por escabel de tus pies?	13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 ¿Es que no son todos ellos espíritus servidores con la misión de asistir a los que han de heredar la salvación?	14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
