1 ¡Aleluya! Yo amo, porque Yahveh escucha mi voz suplicante;	1 I love the LORD, who listened to my voice in supplication,
2 porque hacia mí su oído inclina el día en que clamo.	2 Who turned an ear to me on the day I called.
3 Los lazos de la muerte me aferraban, me sorprendieron las redes del seol; en angustia y tristeza me encontraba,	3 I was caught by the cords of death; the snares of Sheol had seized me; I felt agony and dread.
4 y el nombre de Yahveh invoqué: ¡Ah, Yahveh, salva mi alma!	4 Then I called on the name of the LORD, "O LORD, save my life!"
5 Tierno es Yahveh y justo, compasivo nuestro Dios;	5 Gracious is the LORD and just; yes, our God is merciful.
6 Yahveh guarda a los pequeños, estaba yo postrado y me salvó.	6 The LORD protects the simple; I was helpless, but God saved me.
7 Vuelve, alma mía, a tu reposo, porque Yahveh te ha hecho bien.	7 Return, my soul, to your rest; the LORD has been good to you.
8 Ha guardado mi alma de la muerte, mis ojos de las lágrimas, y mis pies de mal paso.	8 For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9 Caminaré en la presencia de Yahveh por la tierra de los vivos.	9 I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 ¡Tengo fe, aún cuando digo: «Muy desdichado soy»!,	10 I kept faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted!"
11 yo que he dicho en mi consternación: «Todo hombre es mentiroso».	11 I said in my alarm, "No one can be trusted!"
12 ¿Cómo a Yahveh podré pagar todo el bien que me ha hecho?	12 How can I repay the LORD for all the good done for me?
13 La copa de salvación levantaré, e invocaré el nombre de Yahveh.	13 I will raise the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 Cumpliré mis votos a Yahveh, ¡sí, en presencia de todo su pueblo!	14 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
15 Mucho cuesta a los ojos de Yahveh la muerte de los que le aman.	15 Too costly in the eyes of the LORD is the death of his faithful.
16 ¡Ah, Yahveh, yo soy tu siervo, tu siervo, el hijo de tu esclava, tú has soltado mis cadenas!	16 LORD, I am your servant, your servant, the child of your maidservant; you have loosed my bonds.
17 Sacrificio te ofreceré de acción de gracias, e invocaré el nombre de Yahveh.	17 I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
