1 Corinthians 12

1 Now concerning spiritual things, I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers.	1 Nie chciałbym, bracia, byście nie wiedzieli o darach duchowych.
2 You know that when you were Gentiles, you approached mute idols, doing what you were led to do.	2 Wiecie, że gdyście byli poganami, ciągnęło was nieodparcie ku niemym bożkom.
3 Because of this, I would have you know that no one speaking in the Spirit of God utters a curse against Jesus. And no one is able to say that Jesus is Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.	3 Otóż zapewniam was, że nikt, pozostając pod natchnieniem Ducha Bożego, nie może mówić: Niech Jezus będzie przeklęty! Nikt też nie może powiedzieć bez pomocy Ducha Świętego: Panem jest Jezus.
4 Truly, there are diverse graces, but the same Spirit.	4 Różne są dary łaski, lecz ten sam Duch;
5 And there are diverse ministries, but the same Lord.	5 różne też są rodzaje posługiwania, ale jeden Pan;
6 And there are diverse works, but the same God, who works everything in everyone.	6 różne są wreszcie działania, lecz ten sam Bóg, sprawca wszystkiego we wszystkich.
7 However, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one toward what is beneficial.	7 Wszystkim zaś objawia się Duch dla [wspólnego] dobra.
8 Certainly, to one, through the Spirit, is given words of wisdom; but to another, according to the same Spirit, words of knowledge;	8 Jednemu dany jest przez Ducha dar mądrości słowa, drugiemu umiejętność poznawania według tego samego Ducha,
9 to another, in the same Spirit, faith; to another, in the one Spirit, the gift of healing;	9 innemu jeszcze dar wiary w tymże Duchu, innemu łaska uzdrawiania w jednym Duchu,
10 to another, miraculous works; to another, prophecy; to another, the discernment of spirits; to another, different kinds of languages; to another, the interpretation of words.	10 innemu dar czynienia cudów, innemu proroctwo, innemu rozpoznawanie duchów, innemu dar języków i wreszcie innemu łaska tłumaczenia języków.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one according to his will.	11 Wszystko zaś sprawia jeden i ten sam Duch, udzielając każdemu tak, jak chce.
12 For just as the body is one, and yet has many parts, so all the parts of the body, though they are many, are only one body. So also is Christ.	12 Podobnie jak jedno jest ciało, choć składa się z wielu członków, a wszystkie członki ciała, mimo iż są liczne, stanowią jedno ciało, tak też jest i z Chrystusem.
13 And indeed, in one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether servant or free. And we all drank in the one Spirit.	13 Wszyscyśmy bowiem w jednym Duchu zostali ochrzczeni, [aby stanowić] jedno Ciało: czy to Żydzi, czy Grecy, czy to niewolnicy, czy wolni. Wszyscyśmy też zostali napojeni jednym Duchem.
14 For the body, too, is not one part, but many.	14 Ciało bowiem to nie jeden członek, lecz liczne [członki].
15 If the foot were to say, “Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body,” would it then not be of the body?	15 Jeśliby noga powiedziała: Ponieważ nie jestem ręką, nie należę do ciała - czy wskutek tego rzeczywiście nie należy do ciała?
16 And if the ear were to say, “Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body,” would it then not be of the body?	16 Lub jeśliby ucho powiedziało: Ponieważ nie jestem okiem, nie należę do ciała - czyż nie należałoby do ciała?
17 If the whole body were the eye, how would it hear? If the whole were hearing, how would it smell?	17 Gdyby całe ciało było wzrokiem, gdzież byłby słuch? Lub gdyby całe było słuchem, gdzież byłoby powonienie?
18 But instead, God has placed the parts, each one of them, in the body, just as it has pleased him.	18 Lecz Bóg, tak jak chciał, stworzył [różne] członki umieszczając każdy z nich w ciele.
19 So if they were all one part, how would it be a body?	19 Gdyby całość była jednym członkiem, gdzież byłoby ciało?
20 But instead, there are many parts, indeed, yet one body.	20 Tymczasem zaś wprawdzie liczne są członki, ale jedno ciało.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need for your works.” And again, the head cannot say to the feet, “You are of no use to me.”	21 Nie może więc oko powiedzieć ręce: Nie jesteś mi potrzebna, albo głowa nogom: Nie potrzebuję was.
22 In fact, so much more necessary are those parts of the body which seem to be weaker.	22 Raczej nawet niezbędne są dla ciała te członki, które uchodzą za słabsze;
23 And though we consider certain parts of the body to be less noble, we surround these with more abundant dignity, and so, those parts which are less presentable end up with more abundant respect.	23 a te, które uważamy za mało godne szacunku, tym większym obdarzamy poszanowaniem. Tak przeto szczególnie się troszczymy o przyzwoitość wstydliwych członków ciała,
24 However, our presentable parts have no such need, since God has tempered the body together, distributing the more abundant honor to that which has the need,	24 a te, które nie należą do wstydliwych, tego nie potrzebują. Lecz Bóg tak ukształtował nasze ciało, że zyskały więcej szacunku członki z natury mało godne czci,
25 so that there might be no schism in the body, but instead the parts themselves might take care of one another.	25 by nie było rozdwojenia w ciele, lecz żeby poszczególne członki troszczyły się o siebie nawzajem.
26 And so, if one part suffers anything, all the parts suffer with it. Or, if one part finds glory, all the parts rejoice with it.	26 Tak więc, gdy cierpi jeden członek, współcierpią wszystkie inne członki; podobnie gdy jednemu członkowi okazywane jest poszanowanie, współweselą się wszystkie członki.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and parts like any part.	27 Wy przeto jesteście Ciałem Chrystusa i poszczególnymi członkami.
28 And indeed, God has established a certain order in the Church: first Apostles, second Prophets, third Teachers, next miracle-workers, and then the grace of healing, of helping others, of governing, of different kinds of languages, and of the interpretation of words.	28 I tak ustanowił Bóg w Kościele najprzód apostołów, po wtóre proroków, po trzecie nauczycieli, a następnie tych, co mają dar czynienia cudów, wspierania pomocą, rządzenia oraz przemawiania rozmaitymi językami.
29 Are all Apostles? Are all Prophets? Are all Teachers?	29 Czyż wszyscy są apostołami? Czy wszyscy prorokują? Czy wszyscy są nauczycielami? Czy wszyscy mają dar czynienia cudów?
30 Are all workers of miracles? Do all have the grace of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?	30 Czy wszyscy posiadają łaskę uzdrawiania? Czy wszyscy przemawiają językami? Czy wszyscy potrafią je tłumaczyć?
31 But be zealous for the better charisms. And I reveal to you a yet more excellent way.	31 Lecz wy starajcie się o większe dary: a ja wam wskażę drogę jeszcze doskonalszą.
