1 Masters, make sure that your slaves are given what is upright and fair, knowing that you too have aMaster in heaven.	1 Voi, padroni, date ai vostri servi ciò che è giusto ed equo, sapendo che anche voi avete un padrone in cielo.
2 Be persevering in your prayers and be thankful as you stay awake to pray.	2 Perseverate nella preghiera e vegliate in essa, rendendo grazie.
3 Pray for us especial y, asking God to throw open a door for us to announce the message and proclaimthe mystery of Christ, for the sake of which I am in chains;	3 Pregate anche per noi, perché Dio ci apra la porta della predicazione e possiamo annunziare il mistero di Cristo, per il quale mi trovo in catene:
4 pray that I may proclaim it as clearly as I ought.	4 che possa davvero manifestarlo, parlandone come devo.
5 Act wisely with outsiders, making the best of the present time.	5 Comportatevi saggiamente con quelli di fuori; approfittate di ogni occasione.
6 Always talk pleasantly and with a flavour of wit but be sensitive to the kind of answer each one requires.	6 Il vostro parlare sia sempre con grazia, condito di sapienza, per sapere come rispondere a ciascuno.

12 Epaphras, your fel ow-citizen, sends his greetings; this servant of Christ Jesus never stops battling foryou, praying that you will never lapse but always hold perfectly and securely to the wil of God.	12 Vi saluta Èpafra, servo di Cristo Gesù, che è dei vostri, il quale non cessa di lottare per voi nelle sue preghiere, perché siate saldi, perfetti e aderenti a tutti i voleri di Dio.
13 I can testify for him that he works hard for you, as wel as for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis.	13 Gli rendo testimonianza che si impegna a fondo per voi, come per quelli di Laodicèa e di Geràpoli.

16 After this letter has been read among you, send it on to be read in the church of the Laodiceans; andget the letter from Laodicea for you to read yourselves.	16 E quando questa lettera sarà stata letta da voi, fate che venga letta anche nella Chiesa dei Laodicesi e anche voi leggete quella inviata ai Laodicesi.
17 Give Archippus this message, 'Remember the service that the Lord assigned to you, and try to carry itout.'	17 Dite ad Archippo: "Considera il ministero che hai ricevuto nel Signore e vedi di compierlo bene".
