4 Yahweh, God Sabaoth, how long wil you flare up at your people's prayer?	4 Rialzaci, Signore, nostro Dio, fa' splendere il tuo volto e noi saremo salvi.
5 You have made tears their food, redoubled tears their drink.	5 Signore, Dio degli eserciti, fino a quando fremerai di sdegno contro le preghiere del tuo popolo?
6 You let our neighbours quarrel over us, our enemies mock us.	6 Tu ci nutri con pane di lacrime, ci fai bere lacrime in abbondanza.
7 God Sabaoth, bring us back, let your face shine on us and we shall be safe.	7 Ci hai fatto motivo di contesa per i vicini, e i nostri nemici ridono di noi.
8 You brought a vine out of Egypt, to plant it you drove out nations;	8 Rialzaci, Dio degli eserciti, fa' risplendere il tuo volto e noi saremo salvi.
9 you cleared a space for it, it took root and fil ed the whole country.	9 Hai divelto una vite dall'Egitto, per trapiantarla hai espulso i popoli.
10 The mountains were covered with its shade, and the cedars of God with its branches,	10 Le hai preparato il terreno, hai affondato le sue radici e ha riempito la terra.
11 its boughs stretched as far as the sea, its shoots as far as the River.	11 La sua ombra copriva le montagne e i suoi rami i più alti cedri.
12 Why have you broken down its fences? Every passer-by plucks its grapes,	12 Ha esteso i suoi tralci fino al mare e arrivavano al fiume i suoi germogli.

15 protect what your own hand has planted.	15 Dio degli eserciti, volgiti, guarda dal cielo e vedi e visita questa vigna,
16 They have thrown it on the fire like dung, the frown of your rebuke wil destroy them.	16 proteggi il ceppo che la tua destra ha piantato, il germoglio che ti sei coltivato.
17 May your hand protect those at your side, the child of Adam you have strengthened for yourself!	17 Quelli che l'arsero col fuoco e la recisero, periranno alla minaccia del tuo volto.
