Psalms 28

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA
1 [Of David] To you, Yahweh, I cry, my rock, do not be deaf to me! If you stay silent I shall be like thosewho sink into oblivion.	1 'Di Davide.' A te grido, Signore; non restare in silenzio, mio Dio, perché, se tu non mi parli, io sono come chi scende nella fossa.
2 Hear the sound of my prayer when I cal upon you, when I raise my hands, Yahweh, towards your Holyof Holies.	2 Ascolta la voce della mia supplica, quando ti grido aiuto, quando alzo le mie mani verso il tuo santo tempio.
3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with evil-doers, who talk to their partners of peace withtreachery in their hearts.	3 Non travolgermi con gli empi, con quelli che operano il male. Parlano di pace al loro prossimo, ma hanno la malizia nel cuore.
4 Repay them as their deeds deserve, as befits their treacherous actions; as befits their handiworkrepay them, let their deserts fall back on themselves.	4 Ripagali secondo la loro opera e la malvagità delle loro azioni. Secondo le opere delle loro mani, rendi loro quanto meritano.
5 They do not comprehend the deeds of Yahweh, the work of his hands. May he pul them down and notrebuild them!	5 Poiché non hanno compreso l'agire del Signore e le opere delle sue mani, egli li abbatta e non li rialzi.
6 Blessed be Yahweh for he hears the sound of my prayer.	6 Sia benedetto il Signore, che ha dato ascolto alla voce della mia preghiera;
7 Yahweh is my strength and my shield, in him my heart trusts. I have been helped; my body hasrecovered its vigour, with all my heart I thank him.	7 il Signore è la mia forza e il mio scudo, ho posto in lui la mia fiducia; mi ha dato aiuto ed esulta il mio cuore, con il mio canto gli rendo grazie.
8 Yahweh is the strength of his people, a safe refuge for his anointed.	8 Il Signore è la forza del suo popolo, rifugio di salvezza del suo consacrato.
9 Save your people, bless your heritage, shepherd them and carry them for ever!	9 Salva il tuo popolo e la tua eredità benedici, guidali e sostienili per sempre.
