1 In the seventeenth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Uzziah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.1 Nell'anno ventisette di Geroboamo re di Israele, divenne re Azaria figlio di Amazia, re di Giuda.
2 He was sixteen years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem.His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.2 Quando divenne re aveva sedici anni; regnò in Gerusalemme cinquantadue anni. Sua madre era di Gerusalemme e si chiamava Iecolia.

5 But Yahweh struck the king, and he was afflicted with a virulent skin-disease til his dying day.
