Ezekiel 30

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, prophesy and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Howl: Disaster day!	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, predici dicendo: Dice il Signore Dio: Gemete: Ah, quel giorno!
3 For the day is near, the day of Yahweh is near; it wil be a day dark with cloud, a time of doom for thenations.	3 Perché il giorno è vicino, vicino è il giorno del Signore, giorno di nubi sarà il giorno delle nazioni.
4 "The sword wil come on Egypt, and anguish on the country of Cush when the slaughtered fal inEgypt, when her riches are carried away and her foundations are destroyed.	4 La spada verrà sull'Egitto e ci sarà l'angoscia in Etiopia, quando cadranno in Egitto i trafitti, le sue ricchezze saranno asportate e le sue fondamenta disfatte.
5 Cush, Put and Lud, all Arabia, Cub and the children of the country of the covenant will fal by thesword with them.	5 Etiopia, Put e Lud e stranieri d'ogni specie e Cub e i figli del paese dell'alleanza cadranno con loro di spada.
6 "Yahweh says this: "The supports of Egypt wil fall; the pride of her strength wil crumble; they will fal by the sword from Migdol to Syene -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	6 Dice il Signore: Cadranno gli alleati dell'Egitto e sarà abbattuto l'orgoglio della sua forza: da Migdòl fino ad Assuan cadranno di spada. Parola del Signore Dio.
7 "They will be the most desolate of desolate countries, and its cities the most ruined of cities.	7 Sarà un deserto fra terre devastate e le sue città fra città desolate.
8 And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I set fire to Egypt and al its supports are shattered.	8 Sapranno che io sono il Signore quando darò fuoco all'Egitto e tutti i suoi sostenitori saranno schiacciati.
9 "That day, I shal send messengers by ship to terrify the carefree Cushites, and anguish wil overtakethem on the day of Egypt -- it is coming now!	9 In quel giorno partiranno da me messaggeri su navi a spargere il terrore in Etiopia che si crede sicura, e in essa vi sarà spavento nel giorno dell'Egitto, poiché ecco già viene".
10 The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal destroy the huge population of Egypt at the hand ofNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.	10 Così dice il Signore Dio: "Farò cessare il tumultuare dell'Egitto per mezzo di Nabucodònosor re di Babilonia.
11 He and his people, the most barbarous of nations, wil be brought to ravage the country. They wildraw the sword against Egypt and fil the country with corpses.	11 Egli e il suo popolo, il più violento dei popoli, saranno inviati a devastare il paese e sguaineranno la loro spada contro l'Egitto e riempiranno il terreno di cadaveri.
12 I shal dry up the courses of the Nile and sel the country to the wicked. I shal lay the whole countrywaste and everything in it, at the hand of foreigners. I, Yahweh, have spoken.	12 Farò seccare i fiumi e darò il paese in mano a genti barbare, devasterò il territorio e ciò che contiene, per mezzo di stranieri: io, il Signore, l'ho detto".
13 "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall destroy the foul idols and take the false gods away from Noph.Egypt wil be left without a ruler. I shall spread fear through Egypt.	13 Dice il Signore Dio: "Distruggerò gli idoli e farò sparire gli dèi da Menfi. Non ci sarà più principe nel paese d'Egitto, vi spanderò il terrore,
14 I shal lay Pathros waste, set Zoan on fire, inflict my punishments on No.	14 devasterò Patròs, darò fuoco a Tanis, farò giustizia su Tebe.
15 I shal vent my fury on Sin, the bastion of Egypt; I shall wipe out the throngs of No.	15 Scatenerò l'ira su Sin, la roccaforte d'Egitto, sterminerò la moltitudine di Tebe.
16 I shal set fire to Egypt; Sin will be seized with convulsions; a breach wil be opened at No and thewaters flood out.	16 Metterò a fuoco l'Egitto: Sin si torcerà dal dolore, Tebe sarà squassata, Menfi sarà smantellata dai nemici in pieno giorno.
17 The young men of On and Pi-Beseth wil fal by the sword and the cities themselves go into captivity.	17 I giovani di Eliòpoli e di Bubàste cadranno di spada e queste città andranno in schiavitù.
18 At Tahpanhes day will turn to darkness when I shatter the sceptres of Egypt there, when the pride ofher strength ceases. A cloud will cover Egypt itself, and its daughters will go into captivity.	18 In Tafni si oscurerà il giorno, quando vi spezzerò i gioghi imposti dall'Egitto e verrà meno in lei l'orgoglio della sua potenza; una nube la coprirà e le sue figlie saranno condotte schiave.
19 Such wil be the punishments I inflict on Egypt. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	19 Farò giustizia dell'Egitto e si saprà che io sono il Signore".
20 In the eleventh year, on the seventh day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to meas fol ows,	20 Al settimo giorno del primo mese dell'undecimo anno, mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
21 'Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; you can see that no one has dressedhis wound by applying remedies to it, by bandaging it and by dressing it, to make it strong enough to wield thesword.	21 "Figlio dell'uomo, ho spezzato il braccio del faraone re d'Egitto; egli non è stato curato con medicamenti né fasciato con bende per fargli riprender forza e maneggiare la spada".
22 This being so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt; I shal breakhis arms, the sound one and the broken one, and make the sword drop from his hand.	22 Perciò dice il Signore Dio: "Eccomi contro il faraone re d'Egitto: gli spezzerò il braccio ancora valido e gli farò cadere la spada di mano.
23 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries.	23 Disperderò gli Egiziani fra le genti e li disperderò in altre regioni.
24 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand. I shal breakPharaoh's arms and, confronted with his enemy, he wil groan like a dying man.	24 Invece rafforzerò le braccia del re di Babilonia e nella sua mano porrò la mia spada: spezzerò le braccia del faraone che gemerà davanti a lui come geme uno ferito a morte.
25 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh wil fall. And they wilknow that I am Yahweh, when I put my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon and he wields it againstEgypt.	25 Fortificherò le braccia del re di Babilonia, mentre le braccia del faraone cadranno. Si saprà che io sono il Signore, quando porrò la mia spada nella mano del re di Babilonia ed egli la stenderà sulla terra d'Egitto.
26 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries; and they wil know that Iam Yahweh." '	26 Disperderò gli Egiziani fra le genti e li disperderò in altre regioni: si saprà che io sono il Signore".
