Isaiah 30

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA
1 Woe to the rebel ious children -- declares Yahweh -- who make plans which do not come from me andmake al iances not inspired by me, and so add sin to sin!	1 Guai a voi, figli ribelli - oracolo del Signore - che fate progetti da me non suggeriti, vi legate con alleanze che io non ho ispirate così da aggiungere peccato a peccato.
2 They are leaving for Egypt, without consulting me, to take refuge in Pharaoh's protection, to shelter inEgypt's shadow.	2 Siete partiti per scendere in Egitto senza consultarmi, per mettervi sotto la protezione del faraone e per ripararvi all'ombra dell'Egitto.
3 Pharaoh's protection will be your shame, the shelter of Egypt's shadow your confounding.	3 La protezione del faraone sarà la vostra vergogna e il riparo all'ombra dell'Egitto la vostra confusione.

6 Proclamation about the beasts of the Negeb: Into the land of distress and of anguish, of lioness androaring lion, of viper and flying dragon, they bear their riches on donkeys' backs, their treasures on camels'humps, to a nation that cannot help:	6 Oracolo sulle bestie del Negheb. 12 So the Holy One of Israel says this, 'Since you have rejected this word and put your trust in fraud anddisloyalty and rely on these,	12 Pertanto dice il Santo di Israele: "Poiché voi rigettate questo avvertimento e confidate nella perversità e nella perfidia, ponendole a vostro sostegno,

14 He wil shatter it like an earthenware pot, ruthlessly knocking it to pieces, so that of the fragments notone shard can be found with which to take up fire from the hearth or scoop water from the storage-wel .'	14 e si infrange come un vaso di creta, frantumato senza misericordia, così che non si trova tra i suoi frantumi neppure un coccio con cui si possa prendere fuoco dal braciere o attingere acqua dalla cisterna".
15 For Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, says this, 'Your salvation lay in conversion and tranquil ity,your strength in serenity and trust and you would have none of it.	15 Poiché dice il Signore Dio, il Santo di Israele: "Nella conversione e nella calma sta la vostra salvezza,nell'abbandono confidente sta la vostra forza". Ma voi non avete voluto,
16 "No," you said, "we shall flee on horses." And so flee you wil ! And again, "We shal ride on swift ones." And so your pursuers will be swift!	16 anzi avete detto: "No, noi fuggiremo su cavalli". - Ebbene, fuggite! - "Cavalcheremo su destrieri veloci". Ebbene più veloci saranno i vostri inseguitori.

20 When the Lord has given you the bread of suffering and the water of distress, he who is your teacherwil hide no longer, and you wil see your teacher with your own eyes.	20 Anche se il Signore ti darà il pane dell'afflizione e l'acqua della tribolazione, tuttavia non si terrà più nascosto il tuo maestro; i tuoi occhi vedranno il tuo maestro,

22 You wil hold unclean the silverplating of your idols and the goldplating of your images. You wil throwthem away like the pol uted things they are, shouting after them, 'Good riddance!'	22 Considererai cose immonde le tue immagini ricoperte d'argento; i tuoi idoli rivestiti d'oro getterai via come un oggetto immondo. "Fuori!" tu dirai loro.
23 He wil send rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the bread that the ground provides wil berich and nourishing. That day, your cattle will graze in wide pastures.	23 Allora egli concederà la pioggia per il seme che avrai seminato nel terreno; il pane, prodotto della terra, sarà abbondante e sostanzioso; in quel giorno il tuo bestiame pascolerà su un vasto prato.
24 Oxen and donkeys that work the land will eat for fodder wild sorrel, spread by the shovel-load andfork-load.	24 I buoi e gli asini che lavorano la terra mangeranno biada saporita, ventilata con la pala e con il vaglio.
25 On every lofty mountain, on every high hil there wil be streams and water-courses, on the day of thegreat slaughter when the strongholds fal .	25 Su ogni monte e su ogni colle elevato, scorreranno canali e torrenti d'acqua nel giorno della grande strage, quando cadranno le torri.
26 Then moonlight will be bright as sunlight and sunlight itself be seven times brighter -- like the light ofseven days in one -- on the day Yahweh dresses his people's wound and heals the scars of the blows they havereceived.	26 La luce della luna sarà come la luce del sole e la luce del sole sarà sette volte di più, quando il Signore curerà la piaga del suo popolo e guarirà le lividure prodotte dalle sue percosse.
27 See, the name of Yahweh comes from afar, blazing his anger, heavy his threat. 28 His breath is like a river in spate coming up to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve ofdestruction, to harness the peoples in a bridle, that wil lead them astray.	28 Il suo soffio è come un torrente che straripa, che giunge fino al collo. Viene per vagliare i popoli con il vaglio distruttore e per mettere alle mascelle dei popoli una briglia che porta a rovina.
29 Your song wil be like that on a festal night, and there wil be joy in your hearts as when to the soundof the flute people make a pilgrimage to the mountain of Yahweh, the Rock of Israel.	29 Voi innalzerete il vostro canto come nella notte in cui si celebra una festa; avrete la gioia nel cuore come chi parte al suono del flauto, per recarsi al monte del Signore, alla Roccia d'Israele.
30 Yahweh will make his majestic voice ring out, he wil show the weight of his arm in the heat of hisanger, with a devouring fire, with thunderbolt, downpour and hailstones.	30 Il Signore farà udire la sua voce maestosa e mostrerà come colpisce il suo braccio con ira ardente, in mezzo a un fuoco divorante, tra nembi, tempesta e grandine furiosa.
31 Yes, at Yahweh's voice Assyria wil be terrified, he wil strike him with his rod;	31 Poiché alla voce del Signore tremerà l'Assiria, quando sarà percossa con la verga.
32 each time he goes by, wil fal the punishing rod that Yahweh wil lay on him, to the sound oftambourines and harps, in the battles which he wil wage against him with uplifted hand.	32 Ogni colpo del bastone punitivo, che il Signore le farà piombare addosso, sarà accompagnato con timpani e cetre. 33 Yes, Topheth has been ready for a long time now, that too is ready for the king, deep and wide hispyre, fire and wood in plenty.
