1 [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,	1 'Al maestro del coro. Canto. Salmo.' Acclamate a Dio da tutta la terra,
2 sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,	2 cantate alla gloria del suo nome, date a lui splendida lode.
3 say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,	3 Dite a Dio: "Stupende sono le tue opere! Per la grandezza della tua potenza a te si piegano i tuoi nemici.
4 al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause	4 A te si prostri tutta la terra, a te canti inni, canti al tuo nome".
5 Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:	5 Venite e vedete le opere di Dio, mirabile nel suo agire sugli uomini.
6 he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,	6 Egli cambiò il mare in terra ferma, passarono a piedi il fiume; per questo in lui esultiamo di gioia.

8 Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;	8 Benedite, popoli, il nostro Dio, fate risuonare la sua lode;
9 he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.	9 è lui che salvò la nostra vita e non lasciò vacillare i nostri passi.
10 God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,	10 Dio, tu ci hai messi alla prova; ci hai passati al crogiuolo, come l'argento.
11 let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,	11 Ci hai fatti cadere in un agguato, hai messo un peso ai nostri fianchi.
12 let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.	12 Hai fatto cavalcare uomini sulle nostre teste; ci hai fatto passare per il fuoco e l'acqua, ma poi ci hai dato sollievo.
13 I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,	13 Entrerò nella tua casa con olocausti, a te scioglierò i miei voti,
14 the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.	14 i voti pronunziati dalle mie labbra, promessi nel momento dell'angoscia.
15 I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause	15 Ti offrirò pingui olocausti con fragranza di montoni, immolerò a te buoi e capri.
16 Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.	16 Venite, ascoltate, voi tutti che temete Dio, e narrerò quanto per me ha fatto.
17 To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.	17 A lui ho rivolto il mio grido, la mia lingua cantò la sua lode.
18 Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,	18 Se nel mio cuore avessi cercato il male, il Signore non mi avrebbe ascoltato.
